About the project

After filming 3 of the 300 narratives, Adhiraj Shekhawat was faced with the heavy mechanics of traditional, in depth documentary film-making in India. There had to be another way to weave empathy into the hearts of the audiences, to make them feel lighter, living and inhabiting another life.

This is when the idea to write these vivid, descriptive, second person articles came in. Only after conducting in depth research into their lives, and bringing together of all the different elements that ended up making them unique, a piece gets written.

Often ignoring the achievements, milestones and even some titles, this project aims to take a look into the emotional beats, and resilience through them that make the human experience unique. It aims to show how the emotions of fear and joy, are something that we all share.

How a king, a warrior, a scholar or a photographer somehow carry their crafts and passions through life, and how often all of these can exist within the same person.
